CFIXIM-200
Description
CFIXIM-200 is the brand name of the cefixime tablet manufactured by Medfence Labs. CFIXIM-200 contains Cefixime 200 mg, a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic. It is prescribed for bacterial infections due to its broad-spectrum activity against gram-positive and gram-negative organisms. CFIXIM-200 is known for its effectiveness and oral convenience, Cefixime is a trusted choice in both outpatient and inpatient care.
A most common use of CFIXIM-200 is in conditions like respiratory tract infection, urinary tract infection(UTIS), ear infection, sinusitis, pharyngitis, tonsillitis, and uncomplicated gonorrhoea
Mechanism of Action
Cefixime works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, ultimately leading to cell death. Its property to bind penicillin-binding proteins (PBPS) inside the bacterial cell wall prevents the final transpeptidation step of peptidoglycan synthesis. It is effective against the beta-lactamase-producing bacteria that may be resistant to other antibiotics.
