Cefixime 200mg and Ofloxacin 200mg Tablets

CFIXIM-O is an antibacterial medicine, manufactured by Medfence Labs. the formulation of this medicine contains two active ingredients: Cefixime 200mg and Ofloxacin 200mg. this tablet must be taken as prescribed by the doctor or healthcare provider. It can be taken with or without water. Do not take the dose if not recommended, or do not overdose on the medicine. it may show some common side effects that are normalized as the body adapts to it, but sometimes it may increase. In that case, consult with your healthcare provider. some of the common side effects are Nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, abdominal pain, indigestion, headache, dizziness, flatulence, insomnia, and mild skin itching.

Mechanism of Action

Cfixim-O Tablet is a combination of two antibiotics, Cefixime and Ofloxacin, both the medicine provide effective treatment for the bacterial infection.

Cefixime works by interfering with the construction of the bacteria’s protective covering, which is necessary for it to survive in the human body, and this results in the death of the bacterial cell. Ofloxacin works by preventing the repair and reproduction of the bacteria, due to which it is not able to spread and reproduce, and is annihilated by the white blood cell.

Dosage and Administration

The dosages of Cefixime 200mg and Ofloxacin 200mg Tablets must be prescribed by a doctor or healthcare provider and must follow their advice to avoid any unwanted conditions. Some of the recommended dosages are:

For adults, the recommended dose are normally one tablet in every 12  hours or as prescribed by the doctor .

For children above 6 months, the dosage varies based on their weights; normally, it is 4 mg per kg
